Job Position : Senior Analyst - Strategy and Procurement Research

Job Description :

Execute business research projects in the area of strategy; procurement and /or marketing for various clients including large corporations and professional service firms
•Understand research objectives based on client type and accordingly follow a work approach, interpret and analyze information for accuracy, exhaustiveness and applicability
•Source the relevant and accurate information through secondary (including databases) and primary research
•Present the analysis in a structured manner
•Deliver high quality, client-ready output with minimal supervision; identify risks / issues and escalate to the project leads in a timely manner

Responsibilities
•Ability to conduct secondary and primary research for complex business problems
•Ability to extract relevant information from various databases such as DialogPro, Thomson, Factiva and Bloomberg
•Basic understanding of industry dynamics such as KPIs and frameworks such as SWOT analysis, Porter’s Five Forces; strong domain knowledge of his core subjects/specialization area (educational as well as work experience)
•Creative outlook and ability to think of multiple approaches to address a problem
•Motivated, fast thinking, dynamic person with strong business acumen
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
•Strong team player and keen learner
•Perseverant and ‘can do’ attitude
•Go getter with quick grasping ability
•Proactive and ready to take initiative

Skills
•1 to 3.5 years of experience in business research
•Experience of working in teams
•Knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of various industries and other concepts such as best practices, strategy and key performance indicators
•Analytical bend of mind, to seek the why, how and so-what of a problem statement
•Knowledge of using Power Point, Excel and Word in a creative manner to deliver the desired output
•Knowledge about his educational background with clear fundamentals and concepts
•Excellent business research skills, as evidenced by extensive experience in utilizing those skills in research environment
•Superior problem solving abilities and strong analytical thinking
•Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
•Ability to constantly maintain the quality levels across all projects, ability to do multi-tasking
•Ability to conduct open ended primary research to garner industry specific insights
•Degree in numerate discipline
