Job Position : Big Data Architect

Job Description :

Manage the full life cycle of a Hadoop solution
•Perform administration, configuration, monitoring, debugging and performance tuning of a Hadoop-based distributed computing environment
•Carry out requirement analysis, platform selection, design of the technical architecture and solution design, including all relevant components
•Build a robust, high-volume, real-time data ingestion framework and automate the ingestion of various data sources into Hadoop
•Develop validation frameworks, proactively monitor solutions against failures in big data platform, and take appropriate remedial measures
•Design or propose solutions for sourcing data/information from different data sources
•Collaborate with stakeholders of traditional data warehouse technologies to ensure seamless integration
•Own the end-to-end development life cycle and provide high-quality solutions
•Guide and mentor developers on development, testing and deployment of the proposed solution; also help troubleshoot the problems
•Support downstream systems and teams performing enterprise-scale data analysis

Skills and Experience
•More than 8 years of experience, including at least 4 years in big data platform components, such as the following:
•Hadoop
•Spark
•HBase/Cassandra/MongoDB
•Pig & Hive
•Cloud-computing infrastructure solutions, including Amazon Web Services and Elastic MapReduce
•Working knowledge of Java and/or Scala preferred
•Knowledge of Flume and Sqoop
•Experience in click stream data
•Experience in integrating traditional data warehouse with Hadoop
•Should have managed HBase or other NoSql Databases for real-time processing, latency and stitching
•Should have written Pig & Hive scripts, and Java MapReduce programs
•Experience in building various subject areas (e.g., traffic, sales, listing and CI) in Hadoop, based on analytics needs
•Experience on Spark streaming to bring various API data on Hadoop
•Experience on Oozie scheduling
•Experience on UNIX and/or LINUX
